  1. Lexus have given you a fiesta courtesy car? Sounds more like a workers car that they are giving you. Stay with the Lexus, its a damn good car. sorry to hear about your probs by the way
  2. What are you having done on wednesday? is it a fixed drop or adjustable suspension. ← This is probably slightly off-topic, but at what speed does torque steer come into play?
  3. Avoid the S, definately worth going for the SE or sport. Get the sport if you want the aluminium pedals, tinted rear windows and limited rear slip differential, otherwise get the SE. With a new model coming out, don't know whether deppreciation costs have hit us yet? If so, makes it all the more cheaper for you. Happy
  4. i've had the same problem, and my car is only 6months old. I dread leaving work at 2 in the morning thinking the car won't start. Change the battery though, or ask Lexus to do it under warranty. If you go on holiday etc, it helps asking someone you can trust to start your car for you every so often.
  5. What would the performance gain from a full exhaust be and would it be really noticeable?
  6. Ok, sorry to bother you on this topic again. just had an insurance quote from Norwich Union saying that whether i change the back box or change the full exhaust sytem, it will cost me an extra £51.26. IMO a bit strange, but opens up my options a bit more. So heres the dilemma, back box or full exhaust? I don't want to spend hundreds and hundreds of pounds, but inevitably would like a set-up thats sounds quite loud outside but isn't heard whilst cruising or under light acceleration in the car. Thankyou in advance Uncle_Rob
  7. Just a guy who tests ferraris to destruction by screwin them around a track all day. was on top gear years ago.
  8. Thats a really nice back-drop for a picture :)
  9. y does it make it harder being 4-door? Any idea how much money it would be?
  10. i regret not cleaning it over the winter cause now my alloys have started bubbling ← y they start bubbling?
  11. I went to a carwash with mycar (in ormskirk incase anyone lives near there), and they left little scratches on the car. Never going to a carwash again. Guess it serves me right for not cleaning it, but with the drive being doin at the mo, not as easy. p.s. was a hand wash as well!
  12. yeah you pick a nice one of them up 4 £25 grand do ya?????? :P Jags are noisy engined, don't like the really light steering on mercs, and am a big BMW fan. Ok the value for money new isn't good, but htere are great 2003-2004 fully loaded 325, 330's etc for less than £25k. Makes me wonder though, if u r thinking Rav4, and thinking new 3 series as well, thats 2 considerably different cars. can u not narrow it down a bit. isn't there a new audi A3 4door diesel around, don't know the price though sorry
  13. heres a couple of things to have a look at, don't know if they are availible over here though. (Sorry for the BMW link) http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.ph...&highlight=ipod http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.ph...&highlight=ipod
  14. this is a forum where members help out members, not hinder them. No one on here would try to put you down in any way or be rude to you. they will however advise you on what is and what is not advisable wrt your is200 and subsequent modifications. The general consensus is to drive safe and stay legal. This is not possible and forums acknowledge this. However, driving at 144 mph and tryin to find ways to do more is irresponsible and stupid, and highly dangerous. U want ot do that, at least specify you after track days etc.
  15. But they aren't 2 way, they are 2 on top of each other. How does that work? ← a frame that hold 2 speakers by any chance ;) do u mean how is the set up or how does one speaker slightly above the other work? ← I got the idea that they were 6*9's on the parcel shelf yeah? If so and there are two at either side, and on top of each other, how are they mounted? And incidentally, how does not block out sound from the speaker underneath? Apologies for my insolence
  16. But they aren't 2 way, they are 2 on top of each other. How does that work?
  17. Did u not think to ask how much it would cost? Do a search and it should tell you, but ever thought of EBAY?
  18. Maybe its tryingto tell you not to swear so much when!!! :P Sounds like a dodgy seatbelt lol. seriously though, i think only excess pressure should result in a seatbelt locking. i would contact lexus again, although mama's and papas should be able to give you an idea of how it should be done. If its not right, it may as well not be there
  19. How does that work, one on top of the other? Don't suppose there is a picture of such a setup is there?
  20. what should you wash your car with? I jet wash it wet, clean it with a sponge, then jetwash again to clean it. Any ideas what should be done instead?
  21. u can still display pictures even though your not gold can't you?
  22. do u know where i could get hold of it, or do u have a part number etc? Does anyone have a used one to sell me?
  23. Does that mean there'll be a GS300 and a GS350 next year, or are they replacing the 300 with the 350? Would be strange to have both on the GS, but only the 350 on the IS ← is there going to be a sportcross for the new IS series???
  24. haha, when my dad bought his GS300 many moons ago, they gave him a bunch of flowers and a bottle of wine for my mum. Thats service for you hey.
  25. Will the Big Bore 4 fit the IS200SE? Want an exhaust but don't want to spend mass on something like the piper exhaust
