folowed a GS300 in Wigan tonight, at around 7.20pm. Except the badge said V300 Twin Turbo. Any one heard of such a thing?

Don't recall him saying Japanese cars are crap. From what i read of it, he seemed to like the lexus, a lot, he would just rather have a Merc because he thinks it is a far more superior car. His own opinion. He never said LExus was crap, and i think this can be further emphasised by the fact that i remember in the car surveys etc, including top gear, how highly ranked the all 3 lexus classes are (i.e. the IS, GS and LS). And i also think that even JC admits the value for money, build quality etc of the lexus and of a lot of other Japanese cars (and i don#'t mean Toyota, seeing as tough they are almost the same thing). If i am wrong, tell me otherwise. IMO, we are all entitled to our opinions, as indeed we are entitled to decide whether we acknowledge them or not.

Well, first write up ive read by Jeremy Clarkson, and told us pretty much this, "its like an laser cut egg would be more cleaner cut than a faberge egg, but which would you rather have". In other words, buy Mercedes. However he did thoroughly enjoy the car, said it was like being dead inside, cause there was just no noise anywhere, and said it was great how only important stuff was displayed, with everything else being hidden away by your right leg i.e. mirrors, boot release etc. To finish, he also said that Lexus drivers are the types that play golf, smack their ho's, and attack people with submachine guns. Pesonally though, PIMP status don't bother me in the slightest :D Sorry if you guys have heard this all b4, i never posted in GS forums b4. GS430 was on test. Said fantastic in a straight line, wouldn't trust it at high speed cornering etc.

well, YES!!! :P For the average driver though, wouldn't you feel securer knowing they had traction control on just in case. Its a scary thing being out of control.

Daza, but that doesn't make sense. Having traction control on should inevitably get you out of the junction quicker, because the car will keep traction with the road - then you can pull out. If you turn it off, and just floor it out of the junction the rear wheels will just spin, and leave you spinning in the junction, causing an even more of a hazard. ← Yeah, but what he means i think is that when you leave a junction in a hurry, the annoying traction control kicks in and cuts all the power, with the car literally ownly being able to roll. quite dangerous really. At least proper clutch control and no traction means a quicker exit form a junction.

Its no problem. Im 22, and Lexus even offered me to go on their own Lexus insurance if i wanted and had problems elsewhere when i bought the car at 21. Couldn't do it cause that would mean i would have to pay 4 it though. When i bought the Lexus, they offered to let me have it for 24 hours, on the provision it was insured in my name (i.e. not like a test drive which is Lexus insured). So there should be no problem whatsoever having a courtesy car if you book in advance.

The auto SE already has an armrest, even my '02' plate does ← yeah sorry my mistake, didn't rwad the auto bit. all autos have the armrest. there must be something for it to be an LE though.

shouldn't the LE have armrests etc. That just sounds like a new SE.
