Id be more concerned if I had a Hilux or something that doesnt need to be jacked up to get at the pipe.

Ive only been to the Lexus dealer one time so far to set up a service plan & I felt like a VIP despite asking for help with a used Lexus which i bought privately, s****y (you cant type sw@nky on here huh!) showroom, coffee, biscuits, greeted at the reception etc, couldnt have been better really. Will go for its major service & fuel vent recall thingy in June, will see if I still feel the same way after that. Opposite to my VW experience, no one even looks in your direction when you walk in & the showroom is just some random open plan thing with random desks & a few cars scattered around.

I had a manual transmission golf R before I got the RCF & I used the OBD to disable the exhaust baffles so they were permanently open. I came from Nissan S15 with a sports exhaust, where i could tell when to change gear by the exhaust note, I found it really difficult at first to drive the Golf fast as i couldnt hear the engine or exhaust at all. I ended up reactivating them, but as I owned the OBD thing already it was free & made the car louder all the time. Wonder if you can try opening up the stock exhaust all the time using the Techstream thing.

I thought id might end up wanting a sporty exhaust on the RCF but when I see footage of a mustang or something I realise that having that noise all the time would actually be irritating & i find that being able to have a refined quiet ride or put it in sport+ to hear the exhaust is pretty good, especially in you go through a tunnel, plus all the exhausts for the RCF are very expensive & I dont think the regular RCF looks aggressive enough to pull off a constant V8 sound, apart from the track edition, which is another reason why the track edition is such a wasted opportunity. Also when i was looking to buy an RCF I was turned off by any modified ones. Theres part shortages on NX mud flaps until June so they started sending them without. Im told Its all because of the last Chinese covid lockdown. Theres a hydrogen powered Hilux in the making amongst other models, and a hydrogen powered bus ive seen around the place. Toyota must know something we dont about future hydrogen fuel infrastructure.

Well, if you want a battery car you will probably pay a 15k premium for the cost of the battery.

I'm assuming the 15 or so ive seen so far are all showroom fodder & not customer orders. Its very plush inside, lots of suede or whatever it is covering from carpet up to the windows. It's really nice.

I've just seen some rz up close, a much nicer version of the bz4x. Best feature i saw was an electric transparent to opaque sunroof, press the switch & it turns white, press again & you can see through it.

I guess it's more noticeable when you have a digital dash displaying figures rather than a needle hovering over numbers on a gauge.

Where is the amp & how do you get at it?

If you worry about costs & prices of repair if something breaks you should probably give it a miss, its never good to stretch yourself financially. The cold climate you live in makes a hybrid less appealing in the first place.

Ive never had this issue in any other car, obviously it was enough to annoy people behind me into overtaking, that has never something ive experienced before & definitely not in a 30 zone. I thought i was doing 30mph. I believe my old Golf R was almost spot on, perhaps 31 in a 30 would still flash a 30mph thank you on a safety sign.

The first day I had my RC-F I got randomly overtaken in 30mph zones twice in the same journey, i used a gps app to learn the real speeds i need to see on the dash. ie - 30mph is 33mph on the dash.

I had issues with the VW online logbook, what a pita. Whats wrong with a real service book? 🤨 It a lot easier to show someone the physical service book when youre trying to sell the car than find the super secret hidden online one, also I just had to trust that the dealer was electronically logging the services each time.

It was at the pdi place before transporting to the dealer. Yes, it was the v8, got mixed up.

Hi. I've had an issue with the audio not working when turning on the car, the red light is on but no sound whatever source i select, sometimes turning the ignition off & on will make it work again but sometimes not. I've read that this is common in the RC, is there a standard thing that you can do to fix it yourself?

Anyone order a white hybrid lc500 with red convertible top, red/black interior? I just saw one come in looking very nice!
