  9. Ok, I gotta ask .... if you've changed wife recently, then did you remember to replace the mother-in-law? Sometimes placing one of these on either rear seat can produce a droning or whining sound ocassionally leading to a headache in severe circumstances. Mind you, the droning in mine increases with cornering and especially at speed. I've also found that the droning continues with the engine off and even when in the house. Good luck with your diagnostics!! Paul Did a full replacement a few years ago, even got the service history license stamped by the local registra - they say that aides re-sale but I'm not sure about that. But anyway, current upgrade is running well and no breakdown services required to date. Thanks for the help - ever thought of working for a main dealer? GS Just as an update I thought this may help if anyone else has suffered this problem. The answer lay in the geometry and worn rear tyres. I got a full geometry check with tony (wheels In-motion) and he found a number of areas which were quite a bit out. Most of the noise disappeared once the geometry was right and the remaining noise disappeared once the rear tyres were replaced, There was severe wear on the inner edges of both rear tyres. Hope this helps anyone else who may be getting the droning from the rear. GS Sport. Maybe I was right then... :winky:
  10. Well I've beat the lot of ya... DORSET for us, thought we'd be a bit more extravagant this year compared to Hastings last year... oh, and it's a bronze static van on a 5 star site - OOOOHHHH! :P B) :D PLUS... we've pushed the boat out, and are staying 4 nights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Nice one Adie, she's looking mean B) :winky:
  12. I would assume the Aristo has the same system as the GS, so maybe an intergrated key would be programmable... but only Lexus can confirm this for you mate, and would probably be quite expensive for a new key from them.
  13. Make sure you get extended warranty There's been loads of these going tits-up, during and after the standard year - mine included ... but I fixed mine! :P Still a fantastic console, and yes GoW is Ace :)
  14. Last weekend I thought b****R it, and ripped my beloved 360 apart Monday I took the circuit board to a local audio/video shop, where I know the service man, and asked if he fixed these machines... he said no, but we went into his workshop, removed the GPU & CPU heatsinks and put the board on an infra-red machine which re-flows solder from top and bottom. After about 5 minutes @200 degrees on each chip I could physically see the solder re-flow Put the console back together... IT WORKED!!! :) :) :) Been playing GoW every night since... sorted! Be interesting to see how long it lasts :shutit: , at least it's good for now and didn't cost a penny :D :P
  15. Congratulations to you both :winky: Now the first is done, soon be time for another... and another... :P
  16. We had a debt collection agency hunt us down like this... they phoned houses in our street asking if someone with our surname lived there, until eventually a neighbour that knows us gave our house number and told them to give us a telephone number to ring as they had some parcels that needed collecting from a house we lived in a couple of years ago!
  17. Seen his stuff before - excellent :) Here's how the globe really looks as he chalked it:
  18. Would have been nice for them to tell me that, rather than call me a liar
