  1. Are you sure you havn't got a leaking air-con condensor or dryer? Mine has a leak in the condensor in the bottom right hand corner - exactly where you show on your pictures, and I get the oily/gunky stuff just like yours, and mine is a confirmed condensor leak. They add some kind of oil to the air-con as well as the gas & dye :winky:
  2. As suggested before... remove the rotor arm - 2 minute job, simple :duh:
  3. Many thanks again guy's :), you all made my day even better :winky: I've just finished my Birthday meal - Doner kebab with plenty of chillie, chips and a bottle of Stella :P
  4. What are you like :D ..... Seriously peeps i intend to use the best logo design from LOC to carry the wim banner, so this is quite an opportunity. What...??? Have i offended?..... If yes Tony then i am sorry! What i intended to portray is the fact that i am really serious that LOC members 'will' ultimately design the wim logo, this image will travel with wim as we grow into a recognized branding. :P No mate, no offence :D Was the wheel too OTT

  7. Not sure what that is?? :P sorry mate... the distributor cap (the light brown cap with 7 terminals that the plug leads push into - top front left of engine), it comes off and also contains the rotor arm which just pulls off. Check the pick-ups for excessive corrosion :winky:
  8. That sounds like somebody blowing one of those party / rasping whistles Or someone's strapped a cockrell to the engine :o
  9. Hey Ahmet... mid 40's - no, no, no :o ... roll on winter :D :P Have a good time mate!
  10. Thats a good point about the dipstick Tony. I had seen another thread on MLR where someone's kept popping out. I've checked mine and its still fully wedged in. I had considered faulty gauge, but it seems to work fine as the car is warming up, and for normal journeys at lower speeds. It only seems to go loopy at higher speeds when its fully warm, and then its calmed down. Just out of interest, wht sort of damage can high oil pressures do :duh: I would guess high pressures could possibly damage your seals (front/rear main bearing, and valve stem seals), this usually happens when the engine is overfilled, which may seem like a daft question Steve, but have you checked that your engine isn't overfilled?
  11. I would say the guage is faulty, as at those kinds of pressures it would have possibly popped the dipstick out!
  12. Baby wipes... no harmfull chemicals and not abrasive :winky: :D Also usefull for all you biker's, just leave a flat-pack of these under your seat... brill for getting bugs off your visor/bike :) (obviously buff off with a dry cloth after) Shinier than a baby's bum!!!
  13. Yup... moisture drain :winky:
  14. I'll be stuck in my unit... wearing full overalls, thick gloves, fire proof hat, welding mask, and boots with a MIG torch in my hand creating loadsa' heat :o
  15. Used to tow mine with a 3.5 litre 5 series BMW manual - no probs :D Car drivers used to hold ME up
