  1. Just spoken to customer support again... they say that the pre 01/01/06 thing is a lie, 100% untrue?!?!?! So wtf is going on???
  2. Mmmm... seen the video HERE. Might be my only way out!?!? has the same problem *CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE*
  3. Did you reinstall the iPod / AAC support stuff off the XBox Marketplace mate? When did you actually buy the console Tony? Not sure if that article applied just to the USA? I bought it back in December '05 on the official launch date. Read on another forum that the pre 01/01/06 consoles are to have the original 90 day warranty extended to an extra 12 months? If it just applies to America, then I will deffo put in a complaint when I ring customer support tomorrow Found some other links stating the same fact: ONE This one is on the UK site. TWO THREE
  4. Went to continue playing the fantastic Gears Of War last night, but the game kept freezing :o . Today I fired her up, and have now got the dreaded 3 red lights = hardware failure!!! Found this news article on the web: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=67825 My console manufacture date is 02/11/05, so I rang the XBOX 360 customer service line, and they say I will need to pay for the repairs - £80.00... so I gave them the link to the article, which he read, but he then said they have no knowledge of this and to call back tomorrow after they have investigated further. Is this article for real? Anybody else experienced probs with their console?
  5. Of course :winky: Beleive me, after several hours of trawling around the farm at night lamping for rabbits (especially in this wet weather), the car turns quite a dark shade of... MUD!!! For the first mile or so driving home, no car comes within 30 yards of me as I redistribute several pounds of rich, damp soil onto her majesty's highway!
  6. Thank's Jamie :) The soul reason for getting it was because a very kind farmer has given me the run of his 200 acre farm for one of my hobbies - rough shooting (pigeons, rabbits etc with my shotgun), so muddy tracks and fields are all fully accessable :D I've been down a few public by-way's green laning (sp?), and have been given the opportunity to drive on a proper off-road course, but i'd probably end up breaking it, so I gave that a miss!!! Do you mean inside it or out Pete?
  7. Just finished sorting out my little Daihatsu Sportrak: The work I have had to do (myself): Re-new the engine bottom end shells Replace head gasket (needed the head skimmed) Replace viscous fan Replace clutch Replace rear leaf springs Strip cooling system to find blockage (3" lng small dia hose at back of engine fowled up!) The mods I have done (so far): Fitted 31" tyres Lifted front suspention Fitted bull-bar + spots :P
  8. I'm afraid this is how they are... even mentions in the handbook about holding the fob close to the car - about 2 ft distance if I recall
  9. do you know what number that fuse is? There should be a reference to the EFi fuse inside the cover :winky:
  10. Oooopsey! :o Were there any "goodies" happen to spill out on deck? :winky: ;) :P
  11. BRILLIANT!!!... oh my aching mouth!
  12. LOL, Like a pack of hounds chasing a fox
  13. They Arrived today - I'll have a go at the weekend to fit them!!! ;D Be sure to let us know the results :winky:
  14. Don't even try fitting it... waste of time and will not do your engine any good :winky:
  15. Sorry to hear this mate... know exactly what you're going through! :( :megaangry:
  16. I use the K&N panel filter on mine, seems to make the engine run a bit freer, doesn't use more fuel and just a simple ECU re-set after fitting :winky:
  17. An interesting thing happened :winky: Last night at around 12:30 am we heard kids outside, I looked out the window to see 3 yobs with cans in their hands arguing. They made their way to the corner of our local shop where one of them kicked the window, then turned on a Nissan in the car park and gave that a good kicking!!! At this point I called the police who turned up within 5 minutes (car + van), but they had gone by then The annoying thing is, two officers had a quick look at the Nissan with their torches (I'm watching all this out my bedroom window), then wandered around the area for about 10 minutes, then came back to me and said they couldn't see any damage to the car This morning I went to have a look at the Nissan - 3 huge dents in the front o/s wing and door panel deep enough to split the paint :o I have found the owner and he's calling the police now... The one thing about all this that could get interesting is... I recognised one of the culprits, and gave the name to the police :D Maybe justice will at last be served
  18. Thanks guy's :winky: Been looking on ebay and came accross THESE 4 would be good as I also need a camera pointing at my garage that contains my bike, plus I park my Sportrak there - they tried nicking that a few weeks back, found the drivers door lock punched in one morning , plus one for the back garden as the kids bikes have gone walkies too
  19. Cheers Steve, if I do get hold of them I'll post up some pics :winky: :P
  20. We already have a CCTV camera over our front door which covers the car, which has a movement detector that interrupts the tv when we are watching it. Trouble is, all this is taking part late night/early morning when we are not watching tv I havn't got a recorder in the set-up, so am now looking into one of those hard drive security recorders... more expense!
  21. Got into my GS yesterday for the first time since Xmas day, and the wife spotted this on the front n/s wing :tsktsk: This is the fourth time the car has been damaged in the two years I've had it, all outside my front door... wing mirror kicked off, o/s keyed front to back, side window smashed, now this :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: Just had forensics out looking for prints - none! He said it looks like a screwdriver or similar has been used to hack at the wing... WHY?!?!?! I've got no enemies that I know of, the car's 10 years old, there are much newer cars down my street... police said it's because it's a Lexus... Am I going to get it repaired?... to be honest... no, what's the point??? There's some right SICK B******S out there who need a damn good thrashing, preferably around the head!!!
