  1. Its deeply distressing when anything happens to a child my heart goes out to the parents because if i were them despite the age i would be wanting blood. The problem is should they be found guilty they will be put into a youth prison then because of the nature of the crime given new identities and homes etc the same as Jamie Bulgers killers I think its time society took a long slow look at itself, i don't know if its just me but it seems standards and morals are slipping everywhere this week it is this last week it was an 11 year old a parent let sleep with her boyfriend. It looks like the fall of civilisation will be apathy before we even get to WW3 ← Death by apathy, stupidity and liberalism----couldn`t agree more. Its a shame we can`t nuke the planet and start again. But certainly i take an active dad approach to parenting----let my boys do what they like, within boundaries, and then if they cross the line i go off like a demented drill sergeant (like those soldiers on that upcoming bootcamp show). Believe me it works a treat, so much so that other parents at school have wanted me to come round, becuase all it takes now is one stern name call and i get total compliance!!!!! :D Don't get me wrong, we still b&gger about and have fun, play consoles, transformers, slides etc etc etc.............but there is no way on gods green earth will i let my kids turn into uneducated, ill-mannered, vacuous hoodies. And that, i think, is where we get situations that frighten us parents to death... the lack of active parenting. Society, in other words other people, is beginning to scare me..... :shutit:
  2. child tax credit review came, it was updated and duly sent back, nowhere to state 2005-2006 would be less...............they send back the 2xletters award and we get a cut, even though my wife earns 12500 and i`m a student...........fone them up, got them to change it, as there is now an area saying about next years earnings.....they said will reissue........mean time another 2xletters arrive saying the wrong thing........i bin them and wait........this am 2xletters arrive, they have duplicated my wifes income, so we get an even bigger cut..........i fone them again and get her to change it again, meanwhile our payments have already been adjusted so we got less this month................also asked why we get 2xletters everytime saying exactly the same thing...........apparently its to do with data protection laws, even though we`re both married, living at the same address and it shows the same details.................so now we`re waiting for the next set of 2x letters. Did anybody notice that between the initial implementation of this scheme and now, everybody lost a year in similar circumstances to the change of tax codes? Why is the bureacracy involved in this tax system so much WORSE than married/children tax codes? How much is this costing in wasted time/stationery/trees/postage/additional staff? So that will be nine letters just to get taxed :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: And theres no way to vote it out for another 5 years. Give me a T, give me a W, give me an A, give me (*), give me an S. George Orwell was so, so right.
  3. i`ve got a fish tank, and so if i want to watch a similar thing i`ll be looking at that. plus i get to feed them.
  4. we chnaged all 4 tyres to the lex version of the sp9000. the difficulty is that we live in MK which had lots of roundabouts-----now this is fantastic as it means traffic flows really well and fast but it eats tires and brakes. our tires are all starting to feather and they`ve done <1500m!!!!! Still, when they replaced them we had a fright as all tyres had worn edges, therefore needed replacing, but the "flat" part was completely slick. And i didn`t even see that............if we`d have been caught we`d not only have been fined but quite possibly shot................on sight. Check them tyres THOROUGHLY :D GOOD TIP for brakes in MK-------- go to a franchise, eg KWIK fit, formula 1 etc.................once brakes have worn b4 12000 miles or 1 year (which they will do :D ), go back to garage, have a whinge etc----they get replaced FOC :winky: 3x in a row is our record at F1 in bletchley!!!!! Guarantees are great :D
  5. i`m not in for the immediate rush because for me the question is about compatability and game support. Currently have 2 networked pcs and a gamecube, and i will always prefer the pc for solo gaming as the precision factor is completely different between the same games on differing platforms. Theres no way C&C, Rome TW or Doom3 could be replicated on a controller. But then for whacking on a multiplayer game like golf, or letting the kids having a go a console wins on ease and accessebility. Its like comparing an MPV to a hatchback, and a top spec pc will still be the winner for me for some time to come. As for the consoles, i`ll see which way the wind blows---i have a fondness for the nin, but i think xbox will win, even though ps has the catalogue. I`ll wait for a year. I may have got bored with Rome by then :mat: :duh: not
  6. i like it but i would be too worried about some uninsured :tsktsk: ramming me ← You`ll have to check with Scarface but i`m pretty sure that by law you are actually allowed to kill them should that happen. It`s something to do with compound interest, 2 wrongs making a right and so on.
  7. i know i`ll probably incur the wrath of the LOC for this, but this is what i do......... handbrake whilst keeping a damn good eye on their faces in the rvmirror, heh heh. some faces i`ve seen, their eyes as big as plates, when they realise that the car in front has suddenly slowed with no brake lights showing!!! very naughty, very dangerous but who else is going to punish or frighten tailgaters?????? :duh: :winky:
  8. you would think they would be happy............. COS I THINK MY IS200 IS THE EQUIVALENT OF AUTOMOTIVE PORN!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D yeah baby
  9. some little jhackoff staine, dim-witted parasitic scumbag who i hope dies of some paticularly necrotising form of cancer has tried taking the boot lid "L" off my precious. Gratifyingly it broke, cos we found it in bits on the floor. i think i should be allowed to have a gun. culling is a perfectly acceptable method of weed control. :megaangry: :megaangry: :megaangry: :megaangry:
  10. someone get niraj to do it in granite sky and add clear lights at the back :D
  11. banned for 28 days. 1500 quid fine. what EXACTLY is that doing? a) the law is so rubbish in application as it only seems to apply to middle England B) he probably carries that sort of cash around in loose change This speeding malarkey needs a complete rethink and constancy in application. :tsktsk: where is my gun?????????!!!!!!!!!!! :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: rant over, but my chest is now so tense i`m having difficulty breathing. :megaangry: :shruriken:
  12. Have just finished reading the lex Gs Vs BMW/Audi/Merc etc compariosn in this months edition. Bmw got first place, then they bottled it by giving evrybody joint second :duh: Ok it raised some valid points about the new GS eg; rear leg room, not as cavernous as the others in the interior, slower engine, brakes, and boot space, but then paid scant attention to the reliability factor which could have probably done with some further facts. Its all very well having the cheaper to buy/service/run the faster and "better" BMW but how often does it need repairing etc....? Are What Car? badge snobs or is that BMW the better all round, start to finish, buy to sell car? Who knows? So this got me to thinking about which "authority" people use when making their choices or getting their information. Is it Top gear and Max power, or 5th gear and autoexpress, for instance? Do you just go by JD Power, or by what your mate says? Do you care about all the relevant info, or are you just swayed by a cars looks or 0.60 time and could care less about things such as dealer reputation, or fuel economy, or a motor being notorious for a certain type of fault? Lets find out what are peoples information "bibles", and maybe whether the BMW is the better car in this specific comparison only.
  13. The famous last words ............... ;) ← absolutely mate, thats why i now never, ever, ever laugh at people broken down at the side of the road anymore :D
  14. what do you think? Insurers are not in the business of insuring, they are in the business of making money. Any excuse to not pay out will be taken, and increasing your cars performance or desirability(in a theft sense) without declaring will invalidate. Full stop. But then, you don`t plan on crashing your car do you? :duh: :winky:
  15. 'bout the funniest "dead ringers" sketch they`ve done so far.................. but if you want to go blind, same page but the girl in the leotard video. Its the Eric Prydz "call on me" feem toon, and i still haven`t recovered
  16. new pics of the house gone in, as all the plants are now blooming.... and also reduced the house by 5grand :megaangry: i`m so frigging sick of missing the boat in everything i do...................its a shame there isn`t a business op there, i`d clean up.
  17. just had the 1st MOT done on My Precious today. Was given the certificate and a new blue sticker with the exp date hand written on it. Didn`t notice until we left so didn`t get to ask and have also checked the vosa.gov.uk website to see what the point of it is....................as per ruddy usual with a government website its of no help whatsoever :tsktsk: . So what is the crack? Iv`e seen some cars with them in their windscreens, but i don`t particularly want my motor looking like an mot testing station :D Does it have to go on legally, or is it some more pointless bureaucracy?
  18. in oct we had taylors.........by jan we had about 6 viewings done by boys who looked like they just left carphonewarehouse!!! You know the type......."this is the bathroom"---er yes, i can flippin well see that richardhead.!!! changed to a local in feb had lots of viewings----house is excellent according to everybody, spot on price, but area is too "chavvy". And because there is a glut of similar 3bed houses in MK people have loads to choose from, therefore buyers market. We`ll be lucky if we get 1 viewing a week at the mo, which is irritating as it takes 3 hours to clean the house up for one viewing that may or may not turn up :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: if we`d have put the house on last july we`d have had no probs, but 2 months 2 late as per ruddy normal!!! :tsktsk:
