  1. Vauxhall Viva - Blue with a White passenger wing, interior COMPLETELY decked in Purple Fur bought for £70 from a Midwife!!! Maybe the fur was for the newborns :duh: Sound system was an 8-track! (ask an historian if your not sure what this is), also modded it by having the obligatory "Nigel & Gayle" sunstrip across the front windscreen. Loved the car tho, happy days :P
  2. Hi All - Real name Nigel 41, married to Gayle for 16 months, been with her for 28 years, but never was one to make hasty decisions (except once). Have the pigeon pair of kids, Dominic 18 and Aliesha 15. Got my GS300 SE 4 weeks ago while looking to buy a Merc, I know!, close shave or what! lots of Mercs in showroom and 1 Lexus, was curios why, got in it, got out, got key from salesman, drove it, Gayle drove it, got back, bought it! :D Took me 26 years to marry Gayle and took about an hour to buy my first Lexus. Work for the Goverment (21 years), Not in IT, altho I am the network administrator for our building and yes I do wear a suit most of the time. Anyway nice to meet you all, be seeing you round all
  3. OMG!!! I actually downloaded the video and watched for the subliminal messages :mat: Worse... an ice-cream van just pulled up in the street, rang it's bell and I automatically phoned my mum going for a lie down....
  4. If your looking for Fun, The Supercar Experience, Food Etc and driving for hours, check this out only £250 but you need a few friends to join u Link
  5. lol I too like to gain as much MPG as I can most of the time (even drive with trip on so I can monitor it), but c'mon, you can't help but blip the throttle now and then and feel the G's. It's what brings back the boyish grin you had the day you bought the car :D you know the feeling, you probably got that grin on your face right now, just thinking about it.... am I right or am I right....
  6. Doing nothing is what this country is used to. I learn't long ago that if I'm not happy with something, it ALWAYS pays to make it known. Occasionally you get nowhere, but 90% of the time I find if you press hard enough in the right direction or to the right person you get a favourable result. Too many people in this country let others just walk all over them and never utter a word in their own defence, they do moan alot tho I find. WHAAAAAAAAAA, empower yourselves, don't let the buggers get away with it! EVERYONE is accountable, make sure they remember it!.......................... Sorry .....getting down off my soap box now..... blood pressure returning to normal... No offence meant, just my personal opinion and 2p worth
  7. That sucks mate, my wife would be happily banging keys on her laptop by now, creating a nice little thank you note to the company director, with a copy to trading standards, the manager of the store, local newspaper, solicitor, small claims court, etc, etc......... you get the idea! If the small print i.e. terms and condition did not fully explain thats how it was going to be, then you probably have a valid claim for breach of contract as the item was not as described. Basically if the brochure, advert, ticket or whatever stated you would get 4 hours driving experience at the time of purchase (offer & acceptance constitutes a valid contract), they are in breach of said contract and you would have grounds for a claim against the company or the store as it's agent (associated third party). Be carful though as the wording on the advert is often misleading but factual e.g. "get a 4 hour experience" is open to interpretation. Worth a try tho for the cost of a stamp
  8. Congratulations Dad!!!, theres a saying "you're not truly a man, till you've had a daughter", .... ..... Welcome to the world of men All the best to You, your good lady Wife and baby Kitty :D

  12. What are the labour government thinking, they can't even collect monies from tax & insurance dodgers now!!!!. what chance do they think they'll have with the new system. Implimentation will be relatively easy, but like road tax currently, administering the system will be a farce. I also think that if the system is to be reliant upon electronics, they I say whoo-hoo, because like someone said earlier, I guarantee that an electronic by-pass/hack/cheat (call it what you will), will be available from the right (or is that wrong) people. The only downside will be the potential for having your car broken into as there will probably be a large black market for stolen Tracker units, I.E. your legitimate Tracker sits at home costing you zero £££, whilst you race around on someone else's stolen tracker, costing them gazillions of £££ Just my 2p worth
  13. Well at least I know a fellow LOC member got em, let us know how you get on with the install, with some pics if poss'

I'm one happy man tonight B) BTW the other persons insurance company is Norwich Union

  20. Hi Phillip, Conratulations on you new Lexus and welcome to LOC. :D Not quite sure about the constant reving, but my GS300 does rev slightly higher when cold, but as soon as temp gets on the scale (approx 2 mins) it is OK. Sorry not much help I know, but I'm sure one of the more knowlegable members will be along shortly to help.
