I've had my 2014 Lexus IS300h F Sport for around 3 Years. Never changed the Air Con gas. I switched the air con on just to see if it works as the days were getting warmer. It wasn't working and blowing warm air. As I have never re gassed the AC, i took it for a re charge and it failed. The charging machine came up with an error code B1423, which is generally associated with the AC pressure switch (located at the front of the car near the grill). I looked online for the genuine part (https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/product/lexus-is-phase-3-a-c-pressure-sensor/) and it was £300!! I went to a mechanic friend and he advised me that most Lexus/Toyota pressure sensors are the same and the error code could also be that the pressure isn't getting to the sensor in the first place, so it could well be the compressor. He advised to buy the same part on ebay for a tenth of the price: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324187998809?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=4R6HUeZQQjG&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=rm8E24gDQZK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=MORE, Same brand, same manufacturer of the "official" sensor. I replaced the pressure sensor, relatively easy to do but have to be careful when taking old one off as it could snap the base it screws on to. Re-gassed the air con and thankfully the car AC was working again.

I noticed on my display that the AC option was flashing on and off today. I pressed it once (OFF), pressed it again (ON) and it stayed on. Will need to keep an eye on it... ( I should check the small green window too. )

Hi for last few months i had weird noises coming from drive belt area, specially on idle. Was trying to find someone with same fault, but couldn't so I maybe save someone trouble here 🙂 So I made small fault finding and found out that bearing on air con compressor has gone, start making noises and slowly start locking (can smell slipping belt). As I don't have time now to play with air con I measure belt and bypass. Belt what's you need to do it is 7PK1378 (tested only on 220D 2AD-FHV) when I found time and parts to fix ac I will make some step by step how to do it, maybe even on a car 😉

Hi all, so I had my aircon re gassed by a aircon specialist and even though the car has taken on the correct amount no cold air is blowing out. when I turn on the ac I can’t hear then any engagement like it us too before. Also my engine fans have stopped working could they both be related. The specialist will be back out Monday to use some software that Will isolate the aircon sides of things I was just wondering has anyone had similar issue? could it be as simple as a fuse? the compressor is new as it was replaced by Lexus Teeside less than a year ago. regards Joel

Hey Guys, (and Gals) I'm in love with my IS250, and have had a bit of a disappointment this past Saturday. AC Compressor is frozen. if I try to turn it on when stationary the car stalls, if I try to turn it on when driving at speed, I Can hear the belt slipping on what I think is the compressor pulley. I'm gutted :( Anyway, looking for suggestions from fellow IS250 owners. from what I've read, I'm probably going to need a compressor, a system flush, and a condenser/drier/evaporatior? @Linas.P I read your thread where you replaced your compressor, did you replace the condenser/drier/evaporator? has it been OK? Mine was working fine, up until it died... :( Worst case scenario I think it will be very close to a grand to get it fixed :( cheers

Okay, so my Lexis is200 from 2001, is blowing warm air instead of cold air. When we first got the car we tried recharged it because we had the same issue and my husband says that we couldn't get any coolant in it because there was too much pressure. What is my next step, this is going on our 3rd with no AC, the heater works just fine, but the air doesn't get cold.

Hi fellow enthusiasts, I just ripped my spare unit. I am going to change some bulbs and LED lamps. I am wondering if someone can help me out here and confirm. I want to leave it as original as possible, new bulbs LEDs for old ones that is. I did some research and found out: Radio LCD back light IL901 + IL902 = micro lamp 2x (8V / 0,1A / 0,8W) - soldered - bulb head is about 4mm x 9mm - clear with green rubber cap that would be the same micro bulb as in a GS430 - 2000 - Radio LCD back light IL951 + IL952 = micro lamp (8V 100mA) Radio "key board" back light for the buttons = micro lamp 14x (8V / 0,06A / 0,5W) - soldered - bulb head is about 3mm x 5mm - clear with green rubber cap The 2 bulbs for the Radio LCD back light I've already soldered out. I did not know until now that the on/off button has its own micro bulb - must be getting real hot in there because in both units I have that same micro bulb is shot. AC / Heater control LCD 55900B BULB, AIR CONDITIONER CONTROL....LCD back light! OEM number: 84999-60450 (12V / 1.2W / 0,1A / 1/4 socket / 5mmx10mm- 3x - LCD screen - back light OEM number: 84999-60460 (14V / 1.82W / 0,13A / 1/4 socket / 4mmx09mm- 5x - AC control buttons - back light AC/Heater - key board - control lights for the buttons - clear LED lamps - green and orange - Luminous Intensity 30mcd-40mcd Button/switch - LEDs: 5x green - 3mm - 1.8V??? - soldered - I used 2,2V / 0,02A / 40mcd 2x orange - 3mm - 1,8V??? - soldered - I used 2,1V / 0,02A / 29mcd Not micro bulb! LED lamps!!! Bottom line - heat and age is the CULPRIT. TIA

Hi, Does anyone have the pinout information for the IS200 AC\Heater dash control unit? Thanks :)

The floor in both the back left passenger side and the driver side are wet (clear water). It appears to be coming from the AC vents. I suspect that the AC drain pipe is blocked. Can anyone out there help me find the drain pipe so that i can try to unblock it if that is the problem. The car is a Lexus GS300 2007.
