  1. Thanks to you guys I am going well on the views - still a great car, so worth a re post. My early efforts seem, raw but cute :) Hope you like - share it if you think it needs more love
  2. I haven't managed to take some of my own pictures yet. But here's my baby just before I collected her. Only change so far is fitting my private plates and a dash cam I'm toying with the idea of fitting the illuminated scuff plates, but the standard F sport ones seem nice enough at the moment. Next on the list is a spoiler. I want something very subtle, any suggestions?
  3. Hi, I'm looking for more cool mods I can do to my new IS300h, done quite a few but would really like some Angel Eyes. Does anyone know if you can get Angel Eyes for the IS300h? If so where from because I've looked all over the place. Cheers Dave
  4. First time owning a Lexus (is300h) Any tips or tricks would be appreciated I have a portal username and password set up and also my iPhone is paired to the car with Bluetooth and also the wifi hotspot,I've tried everything but it seems it will not connect,I keep getting id =214 code coming up,I have the premium navigation system,I've seen that many others have had this problem but I have not seen a clear solution given, any advice would be great or any tips or tricks about the car in general would help.I not even sure if I'm using this website right I'm a right mess
  5. OK, so I know that posting this in a Lexus forum will open myself up to a barrage of bias comments but please if you do have something to say try to be as un-bias as you can, constructive and justify your comments so they are actually useful. So, I've decided that for my next car I'm going to dig a little deeper into my pockets and get something decent, comfortable and an easy driving bit of luxury. Right now I've narrowed my choices down to a Lexus IS300h and a BMW 3 Series saloon 320d. I've had a test drive in the BMW (an M-Sport in exactly my price range) about a few hours ago actually and I have to say it did feel like a nice solid well put together car, looked great on the outside with the large M sport alloys in the exact colour I would chose but a little bland on the inside I have to say and the seats were a bit narrow, the wings of the seat stuck in my back a bit. All in all I wasn't blown away by it but not put off either, it felt like a sensible choice. My next choice is a Lexus IS300h, the nearest dealer is quite a bit further away but I will be going over to have a go in one and see one in the flesh before I decide. At the moment my main concern is the engine, I've never had a hybrid before or a Lexus so don't know how reliable they are. I don't do much city or suburban driving and don't get stuck in traffic it's mainly country and B roads so I'm worried that I won't see much of the efficiency of the Hybrid as compared to the BMW diesel engine. I explained my predicament to the BMW sales person and he was very understanding and didn't in anyway try to put me off the Lexus he just gave me exactly what I wanted, the facts and figures of the car I was looking at. I really am 50/50 on this right now, I know I still need to see and try the Lexus but when your spending a lot of money you want to make sure you do as much as possible to make the right fully informed decision. I'm not buying new, my budget is around £20000 and price wise both cars are almost identical for what I want. If anyone can help shed some light on my situation please do so but like I said please try to keep it un-bias (I know that's a bit silly to ask in a Lexus forum but try anyway) but also constructive and justifiable. Thanks in Advance Dave
  6. Is it worth filling IS300H with premium fuel such as Shell V power, Tesco Momentum etc ?
  7. So car has gone for its 3rd service, at 14mths old/37k miles, and both rear shocks were found to be leaking, with the top portion wet with fluid. Can't say I've noticed anything with the way the car drives. Needless to say they are being swapped under warranty, though it does mean another trip to the dealer as they don't keep stock (not surprising really). Seems unusual to me that both would fail at this stage, guess it must be a faulty batch, are they the same part number, or are they handed?
  8. Hi All I am about to choose a company car and am considering the new IS300H Advance Model. I current drive an Audi A4 2.0 TDie Technik - 2010 plate. All the online reviews for the Lexus seem to suggest it's the perfect company car due to low Benefit In Kind (BIK). I had an IS300H for 4 days and found it ok to drive. It excelled in urban traffic but I found it a bit mentally exhausting on the motorway trying to optimise fuel economy. On the urban I managed about 45 MPG. On the motorway, I managed about 50-MPG - but at a push. In my current car, I can easily achieve 50MPG when on the motorway, but only about 35 MPG on the urban. There is also a lot of ant-diesel rhetoric which worries me as successive governments forced us down the diesel route. There is nothing else on my choices list other than BMW and I am not keen in this brand. Last year I did about 5000 business miles and 8000 personal miles. Options: 1. Order the IS300h - Advance model - will be stuck with it for 4 years ! 2. Choose another car i.e. diesel ( not Audi as not available on my list of choices ) 3. Keep the Audi A4 - i.e. buy the current lease car and run it myself I am not too concerned about the running costs as these will be picked up by the lease company. Any advice appreciated as I must make a decision very soon. Nick
  9. Hello, Just wanted to say a hello from me! I picked up my brand new IS300H Executive Edition on Friday! My first Lexus. I absolutely LOVE it. Traded in a 3.0l TDI Quattro Sport Audi A5. Its a massive change, not so powerful, but far more practical! Looking forward to getting to know you guys! Adam
  10. I have recently become the owner of an IS300H.........in white! Gorgeous to look at and great to drive (In my opinion anyway!) I don't seem able to find Lexus mudflaps for this car, anyone able to help?
  11. Can anybody confirm that Mirrorlink on EU models of the IS300h will not be available on satnav models? I found a post which seems to confirm this. Eventhough eManual explains Mirrorlink and does not discuss dependency on model. Anways I connected my HTC One X via USB and started the Auto app. On the Info screen of the in-car entertainment I see no Mirrorlink icon whatsoever. Regards, Jeroen.
  12. NCAP test results here - http://www.autoevolution.com/news/lexus-is-300h-awarded-5-star-euro-ncap-safety-rating-video-66304.html Rarepass on the side pole test, reassuring result.
