Receiving/sending Sms/email Messages

Had another play today, but still no text read out. It does show th sms's on screen but when you go to open them it says something about a failed message transfer and won't read it out.  Really annoying, as my z2 worked fine in all Bluetooth aspects

Not sure what to suggest, my Z1 compact has worked flawlessly with the Lexus system  since it upgraded to Kitkat.  Is your phone running the latest Android version?

Thanks Ed. No probs and I am running latest 5.1.1 lollipop, which I presume is the latest. I'll have a look on the Sony support forum.

Is there SMS read-out on all models, or just those with Premium Navigation?

(To answer the question - do ensure your phone is properly ready to be connected. I'd say you'll need your "Personal Hotspot" or equivalent on, for example.)

My phone recently updated to Lollipop and still working perfectly.  There is a list of compatible phones on the Lexus site.
