I bought my genuine coolant from a toyota site on eBay.

Here's a link to one of their current coolant items. £26 FOR 5LITRE LONG LIFE CONCENTRATED COOLANT inc p&p.

I was not aware of the overflow tube variant and will bear that in mind when I come to renew my radiator.

The only other variation I know of is 'with towing' which refers to a slightly thicker core when the vehicle is used for towing. Oddly the 'with towing' version can be cheaper presumably because so few LS owners tow and stock sits unsold. I cannot see why not to chose it because the extra cooling capacity will only be used when the thermostat allows.

Nissen offers a rad for the LS and they seem to be a substantial Danish manufacturer of many rads and condensers at about £120. Somebody on here mentioned buying a Nissen rad and I wonder if they were happy with it.

Talking of radiators, Lexus still provide a plastic threaded drain plug on these too, --- saves having to undo and take off the bottom hose if you need to drain the radiator for any reason. Haven't seen that on any of my previous cars for the last 30 years. It's little things like that which make me appreciate owning an LS.

It's funny that since I got rid of my LS430 there is loads of advice about changing the rad as a preventative measure to protect the tranny but prior to me buying it I found nothing advising this lol!!!

I poked my phone camera down this morning, you can see from this where the problem begins.  The rust just continues to eat away until it makes a hole.  I'll be changing mine very shortly.
