4g GS450h mpg

I've read you don't buy the 450h for the mpg.... I have to disagree.  This weekend I drove from Bolton to Ware (Hertfordshire) and back and managed an indicated 47.4mpg. During the week, I'm driving from Bolton to my client just outside Blackpool and managing 49mpg outbound and averaging 45mpg on the return journey. This is equal to what I managed in my MB E350cdi and to be very honest the Lexus is a much better car.

Excellent figures Simon.

The Mark 3 however seems to average around 35mpg overall.

My 2008 does about 35 too.

my 2006 on a long run has done 36 mpg but averages 32 mpg..but dont care its so much fun

I was able to achieve 43mpg once on 120miles from London to Ipswich - M25,A12. Almost all time on cruise control at 76 mph.

Normally it is in 38-40 area on long runs. If its make any difference I'm using premium fuels.

 

Good to know newer model is even better as it probably will be my next car :)

52MPG this morning on my 39 mile comute with the a/c on, car in normal mode and sticking to the speed limits.
