Radio sound not working when engine turned on

LS 430 2001 - Radio and all modes totally fine when electrics on. Turn the switch to put the engine on and the radio etc stays on and no sound at all...turn off the engine to the electrics still doesnt work

Turn totally off and then back to electrics ....sound on in all modes no problem

Any ideas?

So it seems something mutes the audio when the key is turned to the ignition point or is it only when the engine is actually running?

Has a car kit been fitted?

Hi, when the key is turned to fire, the engine comes on there is a click sound then no sound on any mode. the bass controls etc go off and cant adjust anything also no ASL button shows.....but before starting the engine the sound in all modes is perfect.

parrot hands free fitted

It seems a bit of an odd one but I would check the operation and wiring of the Parrot as it has the ability to mute the audio. Does it have it's own separate speaker or is it connected to the audio?

Thanks ill get that checked, the parrot has its own speaker as the sound does not come through the audio speakers
