Warped discs ? Rx 300.

Recommended Posts

Borrowed my mums rx 300 (2006) at the weekend , needed to transport some stuff from London to Devon and there was no way it was fitting in my ls 460,  noticed straight away on motorway a real bad brake judder/pulsating as soon as I braked over 50 mph, my first thought was warped disks or disk which I planned on changing this weekend, do you guys think this is the most obvious or maybe something different ie suspension bushes etc, many thanks!!

Well I'm no mechanic so take from this what you will, but many moons ago when I used to enjoy working on my cars, warped or worn discs would always be the first thing I thought of if I ever experienced any brake judder, so in the absence of any more knowledgable replies I'd say yes, you're right.

If the discs haven't been changed in Donkey's then I'd do that for sure, whilst you've got everything apart, servicing the calipers & slide pins would be massively worth the effort!

When I did mine (and replaced the pads, too) one of the front pads was cheese wedge shaped from uneven wear from a sticking slide pin!
