TWG - Lexus Warranty Company

Hey Chaps.

I noticed a few threads on this forum recently regarding the Lexus Extended Warranty.

As most of you are no doubt aware, Lexus themselves don't deal with the warranty, a company called The Warranty Group does.

Anyway, on a whim, I googled them, and found the following, which might interest some:

As you can see, they have averaged 1 complaint per 4,000 policies in the last 6 months.

Of those approximately 1,000 claims, just over half were found in favour of the customer.

I wonder how that compares to other warranty companies?

I had the extended warranty with my previous IS250 (I've just started another on the replacement car) and they settled in my favour for replacing a faulty folding door mirror and a resonating door speaker.  All dealt with with minimal fuss.  I have no reason to complain and it's nice peace of mind.

This is excellent news. I'm almost looking forward to my next service visit! My last service inspection have two advisories... a small leak from a water pump gasket and a tiny leak in the air conditioning condenser. The damage to the condenser was almost certainly a stone so unlikely they would agree to that, the water pump they might.

Yep, as I have mentioned previously, I too have had two warranty claims, both of which were dealt with quickly and favourably.

@djkenn I agree that the condenser would be unlikely to be approved, but the water pump shouldn't be a problem.  Although, why wait for your next service?

By the way, I should perhaps mention that those stats are for the parent company, not just The Warranty Group, so includes other insurance services other than automotive.
