Something has failed

Oh no I've had a catastrophic failure on the RX450 😱 The glove box light has gone out 💡I took it out yesterday to replace it and it seems the bulb was designed by klingons as there isn't a build, just a plastic holder of sorts and I can't  see any way of getting a bulb out so I guess it's a Lexus part only from a main dealer and will cost a fortune............. unless anyone knows better 😜👍🏻

Btw this is the only problem I've had in 12 months motoring so am really pleased 😬

Anyone know about this, is there actually a separate bulb or do I need to see a kidney to pay for the sealed unit from Lexus?

That does it!  I'm not shifting from a GS300 to an RX if the glove box bulbs are going to fail all willy-nilly like that!  I'm going to write to Lexus head office to complain immediatment !  (Queue Monty Python's restaurant sketch):
