Car Warranty

I only know one one person who had a warranty with them.

It was on an imported GT4, and they paid out for a new turbo.

I will be seriously considering a warranty with them myself soon.

I suppose it depends on the nature of the claim. My brother-in-law took out a warranty with them recently, and then experienced problems on the autobox in his 2000 Chrysler Voyager. They made him take the car to 3 different garages over a period of 2 weeks, then they refused to pay for the reconditioned autobox and the car that he had to hire. Left him out of pocket for close to £1700.

The case is currently working through the small claims court.

Problem is the part actually has to fail completely in order to justify a successful warranty pay out. A worn out or wearing part will not qualify. They were good for me - got repairs to the driver display comuter and new water pump fitted (with cambelt change) to my previous Audi.
