Spare Tyre.

I've my car,  an IS300h for two years and four months from new. It has 17in wheels. I've not had a puncture yet but I've always had a bit of anxiety about long journeys with time constraints.
Toyota Ireland don't do a spacesaver for this. I'd enquired here and there but yesterday got onto a local tyre/wheel supplier and they sold me a new alloy wheel (not Lexus) with a new tyre for €170. I don't care if it's not Lexus, I just want the assurance it'll bring. I'll take it on long journeys. Spacesavers would make you lose the will to live if you've to drive a long distance on them.
I've two faults with the car. It doesn't have automatic wipers and the spare issue.

They should offer a spare tyre as an accessory.
Everything else about the car is excellent.
As for this weight saving with no spare. This is a full-size spare and wheel plus tyre weigh 43lb. It's not exactly the weight of an adult, is it?

are you sure the car doesnt have auto wipers,my 63 plate and my current 17 plate both have auto wipers

at the end of the wiper switch is there a button if so press it and a green light will come on by the button

auto is enabled.

I checked. No button.
I also read the manual. My particular model doesn't have them but there are instrucitions including the button for those which do.

The Hybrid IS doesn't have a spare wheel because the Battery gets in the way - the non-hybrid models have a space-saver in the boot.

I'm well aware of that, but if they gave you a spacesaver tyre at least that you could put in the boot or not, as you desired, it wouldn't cost them much.
