Thank you John. Do you know of any reason why the car would have windows down though? A battery low somewhere?

If the ignition key was on your person, perhaps you inadvertently put some pressure on it as you were leaving the vehicle?

I`d get the Battery changed anyway.Keep an eye on the 12v Battery too as a failing one can sometimes cause strange events.

Oh, when shopping,do park in as conspicuous a place as possible near to the store/shop entrance in full view of cctv cameras and well away from Vans,Pickups etc.

If you accidently press and hold the unlock button on the remote it drops all the windows and opens the moon roof but then relocks the door after so long because it's not been opened. It can be programmed not to do this. I have had it happen several times when my car has been parked for the night in my garage (luckily)

Took car in for MOT and got given a bill of over £3000!

Failed MOT because of rear suspension leaking badly which I'll have to get done at a cost of £564.

Exhaust front pipe leaking will cost £2319 to fix. How much cheaper can this be done at a non lexus dealer or is it better to do it at Lexus?

Lexus basically quote to replace the entire unit including cats.

Go to an exhaust specialist. Lexus quoted me about the same and
Redhill classics which isn't too far from you did it for £120.

If its just a leak, should be fairly simple to fix. They would need to take a look I would guess.
