Just bought a 05 reg, mark 3 GS300. Needs a bit of work, exhaust and possibly water pump/belt. The alloys are dire, so again a bit more TLC needed. Looking forward to sorting it out, lovely comfortable car.

I live in South Devon, are their any Lexus specialist near to here.

Please let me know.

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark, welcome to the LOC and congratulations on becoming a Lexus owner.

I don’t think there are any aftermarket exhausts made for any Lexus model and OEM are very expensive for mild steel, many members have opted for a custom stainless steel cat back system which works out both cheaper and longer lasting.

Lexus alloys are renowned for corrosion and a full strip and repaint is the way to go.

If you don’t have a confirmed cam belt change date just do it along with all the other associated bits including the water pump.

Go for a branded kit (usually Aisin) and take a look at Rockauto.com for parts as even with shipping and VAT they are usually half the UK price.
