haven't listened to him for ages now.Just found a recent new album nd this track sounds good (looks like he's found one of Paul Macartney's old hair dyes...)

Met him at a gig down in Southampton, he was not a very nice person.

I,ve not met him.I did see him play in Bath in the mid to late 90,s in a small hall,sat at a table right at the front and felt every vibration.Couldn,t see across the room for cigarette smoke.It was when he was R F and the Blue Line.

interesting that he,s not a nice person.The only 2  I,ve spoken to..Albert Lee and Joe Brown were both really pleasant,modest and likeable...if different musical styles.

Joe is a very easy person to get along with and Albert Lee was made by angels.

You're right there Mike.They don't make them like they used to.Saw them both down the road in Basingstoke.They get a few good acts there.

I also met John Renbourn there--yet another good,modest bloke,sadly no longer with us.

We saw John Renbourn in the West End arts center in Aldershot. Sadly he died about 2 weeks after that.

My band could often be found in one of the music dens of iniquity in and around Basingstoke.

I think the last time we saw John was shortly before his death,probably the same tour.

Have you ever seen Doug Macleod?we,ve seen him twice at the Anvil.

You can,t be far away..I,m near Kingsclere,halfway between Newbury and Basingstoke.Do you still play?
