Separated gasket above the heater air duct

Recommended Posts

While cleaning ice off my windscreen in scotland this morning I noticed this gasket has separated from the bottom.

I think it's unlikely I'll be able to source a replacement and get it fitted before driving back to london, wondering if there's some kind of temporary adhesive I could use to avoid water ingress in the meantime?

As a temporary solution you might get away with something like Blu Tack, or there's an outdoor version called Black Tack. Being non setting putty type things,  they should be fairly easy to remove when you come to fix pemanently.

Managed to get this on during a break in the snow, not sure how waterproof the tape is but it just needs to hold the gasket in place so hopefully will be ok until i get home
