I know that you should check and inflate your tyres when cold but at what sort of outside temperature?

I checked mine in October and set them at 2.4 bar as the sensors seem to show warning if at 2.3 bar but now we have outside temperatures around 0C the tyre warning is showing when setting off with pressure at 2.3 bar.

'Cold' just means at ambient temperatures i.e. the car hasn't been driven. First thing in the morning is when I tend to check mine, before setting off.

Pressures will naturally rise and fall depending on the outside temps, going up in the summer , down in the winter. Which is why one is recommended to check and adjust if required on a weekly basis.

I have always adjusted my tyre pressures to the temperature - that usually means when the cold weather comes in I will checj and add some air - which I did a couple of weeks ago. When warm weather comes that might also mean letting a little air out again.
