Roof bars and boxes?

I wanted to ask the Lexus hive mind for advice and experience of buying and using roof bars and roof boxes with the UX. What should I consider or avoid? What does it do to fuel efficiency?

I’ve the official Lexus ones which I purchased second hand from a person that sold their UX and so no longer required them. They are, like all Lexus roof bars, rebranded Thule ones and work well without generating excessive wind noise. 
 

Sorry, no idea about a roof box as I don’t have one.

I have Lexus roof bars which are as Colin says made by Thule and rebranded. They are easy to fit. Wanting to carry suitcases I realised that a suitable roof box would be enormous relative to the size of the car. I have purchased a Thule Canyon XT Roof Basket which takes 2 suitcases easily. Being Thule it fits the roof bars properly. I rarely use it so I don’t have figures for fuel consumption. I’m guessing at a 10 to 15 percent reduction. However, together they do the job.
