Im currently looking at either getting a Celica Beams VVti or the Altezza. Would prefere the Altezza but din't know if my budget will stretch that far. The Celica gen 6 single VVTi is looking to cost around 6-7k how much more am i looking at for an Altezza VVTi, which i believe has the dual VVti and comes in with an extra 10bhp? Would have to be a manual aswell!

The manual Altezza RS200 is 210bhp. Yes it has dual VVT-i. The Celica has a 190bhp VVTL-i engine. The Altezza also has more torque.

The auto Altezza RS200 is 200bhp.

Not sure about costs - I guess they start at around 7-8k

i think he's talking about the old 'red-top' beams single vvti 3S-GE celicas....

not the new 2ZZ-GE vvtL-i celicas, chump...

That makes more sense, the latest Celica must be Gen 7 then.

The extra 10bhp isn't going to make much difference. Personally I would want rear wheel drive so I would go for the Altezza.

Looks like im gonna have to save some more cash and get an RS200 then!! Oh can you turn off the traction control? Hope so or thats gonna defeat the point in getting a rear wheel drive!

yes you can mate.... or you can have it "changed" so that it is always off until you switch it on..
