am in talks with apple at min about this!!! went to see them last tuesday. popping to the regent street store today to meet with the technical guys!

There is the possibility that you will be able to power directly via the 12v rather than having to step up to 240 then back down to 12

You certainly wouldn't have to go to 240v and back down. Depends what voltage the PSU is - 18v at the most. I think the machine uses a notebook hard drive rather than a desktop one so the machine probably only uses +5v internally so you many be in luck that the PSU is only 12v
