Cameras On The M4

Recommended Posts

I think a combination of more policing on the roads (who would be better at spotting a rubbish driver than a camera would!) and stricter standards for the driving test (as well as retesting) is the way forward. Cameras are principally there to generate revenue, and thats what they are best at.

Ah but thats a very good location to have a speed camera IMHO. The speed limits are often there to protect the poor sods working behind a couple of plastic cones. If they've managed to rake in 2/4 of a mil £ then that just goes to show how daft the one caught were for putting the guys working there in such danger.

If there's no guys working, the speed limit is then for the drivers protection (crash barrier repairs etc)...

Any one caught speeding in road works deserves the fine and points IMHO!
