What are they for?

Please don't laugh if I am asking a question with an obvious answer, but what are the pieces of plastic that hang down in front of the front wheels for?

Airodynmic aids .............at 120mph they funnel air through the centre vents in the dash to keep you alert for speed camera........UK only fit :P

They help create down-force by disturing the air and slowing it down(?) or something like that... :?:

If your talking about the deflectors infront of front tyres, these are used to deflect the air away from the front tryes and inprove the top speed, these small air deflectors can give up 10 mph on the top speed (straight line only), Some manufactures also have them fitted infront of the rear tyres as well,

I HAVE ALWAYS WONDERED WHAT THEY ARE FOR AS WELL! THANKS GUYS FOR CLEARING THAT UP, I WAS GOING TO HAVE THEM REOVED BUT NOT ANYMORE.
