Hi.

I just wandered if anyone has experienced this. I had my car at a Lexus garage and when it was returned, firstly the two front alloys were scratched. I was rather annoyed. However having driven the car in the motorway, it seems so different, it seems to produce turbulence at just above 55mph and it seems to go away over 62 mph. Because the car otherwise is so quiet or smooth, it can be felt so much. I am sure I would never experience this on my BMW 735.

This now is very upseting as I do not know what could have happened in the garage to cause this.

I am grateful for your responses.

Toni, owner of

LEXUS GS300 SPORT MK2

I would take it back to them and complain,

sounds like it could be a wheel ballancing issue, but if they were the last to work on the car, go back and see what they can do for you

oh and welcome to the club :)

Me too! :(

Just a wheel balancing issue. It used to be quite noticable but since I've had the Chasis Braces fitted its not as bad. I assume this means the braces really tighten up the whole chasis?

Will probably pop-down to either Stuart Wilson Tyres in Hyde or WheelBase in Oldham to get them balanced. These two places are the only two where I have been able to get them balance properly in the past.

Its just getting the time! ;)

Hi Toni it IS brilliant on here, :) Ive only been on here a couple of weeks, and the help I got is amazing. Regarding your car and the damaged wheels if it was me I would go back and give them hell. Regardless of the car there are too many garages out there that seem to have a lack of respect. After 13 years of motoring I have found two in my area that are excellent.

A few years after passing my test I changed my car to a Ford Granada (for me then it was my pride and joy. I could just about afford to buy it) anyway to cut a long story short I took it in for an MOT. The guy there was smoking , he got into my car , coughed ,and hot ash went every where. It burnt the door and the seat .

But my regret is I was a timid chap that wouldnt say boo, and let it go. Ive come a long way since then , and quite willing to have a go for what ever reason .

You should do the same , you have worked hard for what you have, if anyone is paid to do things with your hard earned cash then whatever it is should be treated with respect and not chucked around to the point of being damaged.
