Changing Brake Fluid

I would like to change the brake fluid in my IS200. Is it a simple DIY job or does it require any special equipment?

Can I drain the old stuff out by removing the hoses from the calipers?

I'd presume that getting the air out of the system after it could be an issue?

Any help/advice apprciated.

Cheers

Start to drain the system while topping it up at the same time so air ever gets in.

You'll know it's all through when you see clear fluid coming out of the bleed nipple.

A brake bleeding kit can be bought from the likes if Halfords for a few quid, it's just a clear piece of pipe with a couple of ball bearings in the end that only lets the fluid go one way.

If you aren't confident about the job it might not be wise to do it, as brakes are important.

If you have a haynes manual for any modern car, the procedure should be the same.
