have got a GS 300 Aristo Vertex edition and a few problems have appeared, can someone give guidance and also where is a garage that can sort them out (not too tech myself!):

* the cruise does not work, no obvious faults though

* (excuse the rather simple explanation) the brakes, occassionally, when depressed push back and make 'twang' sound as if a cable is being stretched

* best place to get the sat nav/tv tuned in

The Cruise Control works inline with the ABS/TRC Circuit, if there is an earth fault, then the cruise will turn on, get a garage to check the ECU Fault codes and see what is reported.

The brakes - does this happen just after you have reversed and then driven froward a little way? if so, you may find this is to do with the spring clips that fit either side of the brake pads to stop and absorb movement. You may fit one of these clips is missing or weak.

Sat-Nav, there is a garage is Aylesbury - DS Automotive, if you speak to Dave Stone - 01296 420 000, let him know you are from the LOC and I sent you, may give you a discount.

Hope thisd Helps

I know it's a long haul Austin but it's such a lovely car to drive, would not thought distance would be a problem  besides, open her up a bit and the time is not so bad.
