Saw the new War of the Worlds movie today

I loved it

but it felt a bit short and perhaps rushed the story a bit.

but great special effects and the usual Speilberg tension.

and best of all, I saw it for free :)

does it go more along the lines of the original or the musical version cos i thought the musical version pans out better

hard to say, I dont want to spoil it for anyone

but it has elements from both the original HG wells story and the musical.

Im a huge fan of the musical and I was not disapointed tho if thats any help

I've seen the trailer and the film looks wicked :D It also got an excellent review on Radio 1 this morning

I went to watch this last week too, effects were great but the ending seemed too abrupt - until I realised that was exactly how the book ended anyway....

For those that are getting their copies off the net or car boots etc the last narrative by Morgan Freeman is missing which describes what just happened!!

Aye, basically the film just stops dead and then Morgan Freeman gives the narrative that explains what went off....

If you've seen the other movies or read the book etc then you already know what happens, this is just basically Spielberg's family themed version of it!
