Audio Lcd & Backlighting Repaired For £10%

Autosound in Bradford have just replaced my duff audio LCD, replaced the backlighting bulbs and modified the circuit for the backlighting - all for less than 10% of the cost of a replacement unit from Lexus.

Well, Lexus Norwich quoted me £1599 + VAT for a radio, which I made well over £1800. And Autosound charged me a total of £180 all in.

To be able to see what station/CD I am playing - let alone to be able to see the radio in the dark, I reckon it was worth it.

Incidentally, one of my names is Skelton, so we must be related - Aaaagh, I hear you say.

What a coincidence! One of my middle names isn't Jellybean! But Skelton? You must be suave and sophisticated ( and totally self deluded like wot I is?)

But...£1800 for a Radio? Surely you could get a whole new De Luxe Stereo (Levinson?) for that? My hobby is Hi-Fi, and I could put you a damn fine system (domestic) for £1800!!

My LS400 stereo Screen is pretty knacked, too, but even £180 I'd think about. After all, I just stick in the CDs and press 'CD'. Radio isn't too brilliant, reception OR content!
