Yes they fit but you'll probably need to file down parts of the plastic locating lugs on the back of the units where the bulb twist fit clips on. Use a needle file, will take about 5 mins each unit and another 5-10mins to fit.

Mr Morse, I think you can get some LED type conversion (from the states maybe) that give off red light but appear clear when unlit

Yes, I've already tried that option (Mr LED is my second name BTW :lol: ) but the diameter of the LED is much bigger than the gap. The unit can be modified to acommodate an LED but the LED bulb is also too long and doesn't sit right in the fitting...... :angry:

LED ones I've tried were rubbish. The red ones that came with the lights are dual filament and the fog light connector uses the low wattage wire plus they let white light out the base - an MOT failure, plus they're pink not red. The best light I've got is from clear bulbs painted red with transparent glass paint from a craft shop. They show a bit more red when unlit though.
