40k Service

Hi,

My car is due for it's 40k service (despite it already being stamped by accident when I bought it at 29k) I bought it from the Manchester branch and am wondering if they offer discount to gold members. I have checked the forum and they dont appear to be on there.

Would I be better off taking it to the Stockport branch?

Does anyone know what kind of price I will be looking at.

Seeing as this is my first ever service, how long do they take? I've seen some mention of courtesy cars, how much are they likely to charge for these?

i paid £300 after gold discount at Lexus Reading, it should be a bit cheaper up north, maybe.

I always get mine picked up from work - Reading's a bit of a carpark first thing so I let them take the strain. But courstesy cars are usually free if you ask nicely and don't look too scary. It has been mentioned elsewhere that you might have to pay an insurance fee(£10)

How long does it take.? Rome wasn't built in a day, sir.

Its a major service so may take a while - accept you probably won't have it for the day

To be honest the dealers sometimes get taken over so the details on the website are sometimes wrong - just give them a bell and ask, sometimes you'll be lucky :)

I believe a couple of members had issues with the Stockport dealer but others have been ok, it's all down to the luck of the draw I guess!

As for the courtesy car, I've never had to pay for one yet from Sheffield or Notts, it comes as part of the service, they'll probably need to see your driving license though...

As for pricing it can all vary depending on what work needs to be done, my 80k service lead to £1,500 work needing to be done overall!!!
