I've just discovered my MoT ran out a, erm, couple of weeks ago!

So tomorrow im going to get on the phone to try and get it in this week (need the car at the weekend) to get it tested...

Am I going to have any probs with the testers? I imagine this is quite a common problem..

when I had my previous car, it went 4 weeks out of date, only because i was in another country, took it to get it tested and said I had lost the old test cert and they issued a new one only with that days date on.

so, should i take the old certificate?

Wouldn't bother they don't need it, it just makes it easier to copy the VIN off the old one.

Make sure you book it for an MOT and tell them to note it down asyou have no current MOT. It is legal to drive directly to a pre-booked MOT. If you don't have it booked in and have a bump on the way you will not be insured.

Do it all the time with the bikes and no worries :D
