Wheel polishing mop? I'm interested mate, what does that involve?

what do you use to clean yours? They oxidise within 24 hours as they are now!

The place I spoke to didn't want to split them mate, thought the Blitz rims were 3 piece anyway?

Was thinking of anthracite / granite again, I like the way they look now so will probably stick to the same colour :D

Polishing mop - http://www.thepolishingshop.co.uk/General_Kits.htm#alloy

Very simple, you have cutting sisal and polishing felt sisal also. Both have cutting compound agents which give you the correct cutting action.

Simply attached to a drill apply compound to the sisal and getting polishing! its same process i used to polish my boost pipes and inlet manifold on the tez.

I don't need to use them on my wheels, i wash them whenever i can, the lips are treated to Alu Belgom metal polish then i use a sealant to lock in the shine and protect them... then carnuaba wax them lol can't be too carefull... i spent close too much ££££ on them in the first place haha

What sealant do you use mate?

Just making sure I've got everything ready for when I have them polished so I can keep them looking nice :D

I used to use Halfords clear laquer when I had the 18" Aero's, a couple of coats lasts a long time. Need to make sure they are spotlessly clean of dust first, otherwise it all gets sealed in.

Thanks Am, that's quality mate :)

I'd love to lacquer them mate as it would make them fifty times easier to clean, but everyone says lacquering polished rims isn't a very good idea as it will crack?

Can see I'm just going to have to work :o

don't laquer polished metal, it won't stick for ****. Give it few months and it will crack off.

Diamond cut surfaces is okay to apply laquer to as its not totally smooth so has some key'd up surface to adhere to..

i think Mike meant laquer the spokes though ;)
