Howto Fit A Bov To Tte-s/c-kit?

Recommended Posts

Andi, there was a Janspeed car for sale a long time ago which had a blow off valve, it was located on the right hand side of the engine bay where the piping comes from the intercooler to the engine intake, the BOV was located in the area near the alternator / ECU box if I remember correctly?

Mark @ TDI said there were some issues getting a BOV to work with the TTE kit, not sure if anybody ever tried it apart from Janspeed?

Pete Jenkin wanted one on his too :D

I guess that would be the same spot where the BOV would be on the Turboed IS's.

I also guess you need to run the S/C with the bypass valve closed all the time, and maybe then there will be pressure to blow off ;) Don't know what issues you'd encounter.

Gruss,

well on www.siliconhoses.com they have pre made pipe sections that include a T piece that would allow you to just cut your supercharger pipe where ever you want and insert this section.

that used a different type of setup, i seem to remember it wasnt an eaton SC but a "true" compressor (the eaton isnt).

i suppose you could try it (i assume for the sound only??) but you would then have to block the bypass and that doesnt sound good - u can try it, with the engine running just move the bypass with with your finger - u would have this most of the time - it sounds :sick:

you can always send a mail to Gerald at TTE sure he can advise you.
