Hi

New member . Great forum!!

I have had my lexus is200 since july great motor, superb service from Brighton had the usual issues : Cd player eating Cd-R's although under a used car warranty it goes away to be repaired not just replaced lost it for 2 weeks crap service on that point. ( Southampton)Silence was deafening.

The reason i'm writing was wonder if anyone else has had same issue as me but since the damp british weather has closed in, Does anyone else's rear windscreen turn into a misted mess. ive tried cleaning it but it still mists up badly.

it might be seals on boot or doors??? can anyone help.

Hi - welcome to the Club

I'd suggest that your problem is more likely to be general moisture in the car.

You might want to try always having your a/c on - and thoroughly drying out the car - just leave it on auto all of the time

Does leaving your aircon on auto all the time affect your performance or MPG?

Might be worth checking the pollen-filter (behind the glove box) is not bunged up - although I'd expect all your windows to mist up, not just the back.

Mine is usually misted-up after a cold night but the HRW clears it no problem.

another thing to check.......go behind the car, feel in the bumper directly behind the rear wheels, this area fills with crap from the roads, its possible its full and not allowing the airflow to escape the boot area.

this is also a good place for everyone to check,as it is a choke point for damp road material......dont weant rust now do we
