Guys,

dunno if anyones ever posted this before, but try this:

Install the free software (11ish Meg) and then you can enter your postcode, places of interest etc and see fantastic actual photos.

EG - you can see the Grand Canyon, and pan down 3d into the crators of that, and volcanoes etc...it's fab.

Street photos are pretty patchy...London is well covered, but if you put my post code in Leicester all you get is the street with no houses.

A mate says that the car on his drive is one he sold about 6 years ago, so some of the pictures are old. I don't think they were Satellite taken - they could be from planes.

You can see your washing hanging on the line....patio etc...

Anyway - it is amazing!!

Mind you just tried - can't access Jason's, and I think that was an interactive one where you can mark where you are etc??

This one is view only...but the detail is astonishingly good.

Google Earth has been the new craze for a while now.

Everyone I know that has tried it has been very impressed. Only problem is the resolution setting on the screen needs to be set to maximum to enjoy the full splendour of the 3-D Tour.
