I've had experience of the Halfords paint sets/kits before with some success.

Trying to apply the Lexus touchup paint with a brush has never been my strong point.

I went to Halfords and got a Rover Tahiti Blue kit which contains the primer, paint and laquer plus a couple of tools for preparing and finishing off.

The Rover Tahiti was the closest match for my Montrose Blue.

Emptied the Tahiti and using a dropper I had handy, refilled with the Montrose Blue. Using the 'nib' applicator I have been able to far more accurately place the paint where it needed to go.

= proper job :)

I take it this the kit with 3 "cannisters" (2 with a brush and one with a nib)??

It's excellent - used it on my silver Audi with Success too and I find using a cocktail stick/tooth pick works really well for Stone chips..... They seem to have stopped doing the Turtle wax "lipstick" wax at Halfords, which also works very well if you're not good with paint...

Yep, that's the one.

I've got one of those lipstick things but I find that they don't last long as the next wash seems to remove it.
