Hi, welcome to LOC :D

The wise will tell you that jump starting is not a good idea but the AA do it. You could Try resetting the ECU.

Welcome to another Irishman.... :D

Standard Battery on the Altezza is crap..... so ditch that and get a proper one.....

I got mine at a local motor factors for €55 euro, make sure you get a 60 Ah..... ask for one that suits an IS200.. ok, don't mention Altezza

I've never had a bother since.... :winky:

Cheer Lads

Got new plugs today made no difference reset ecu and its alot better but there is still a slight hesitation at 3000 rev but it goes when it gets to 4000....

I was told that most altezza have that in them is this true...

Would remapping the ecu take this out of it or would an octane booster sort it out..

Thanks again for all ur help....

Ps: im looking for a TRD boby kit does anybody know where i can get one in ireland without getting my pants pulled down....

Sounds like a problem my mate had with his Skyline. Basically your car is made to run on 100 RON (octane) fuel and over here you're running it on 95, so what happens is that your ecu sensing this crap fuel retards your ignition timing which is why you've your flat spot...

If you try finding Super Unleaded 97/98 RON (very rare over here now!) or get a tin of good octane booster & just see if that makes any difference ;)
