I have found someone willing to sell me a Sat Nav DVD...

Lexus UK and Europe DVD Rom Disc 2004 - 2005

Version .2

Ref Number on disc: 86271-64012 and 86271-60V542.

Will this work fine on my 20001 LS430?

Yeah well I discovered it DOES work in my LS - so I paid £93 on eBay for it.

When do you have to decide? You could ask the Service types at the Dealer to confirm, or try an 04/05 disc from another Lex before you buy

That guy has conveniently sold alot of his "mates" sat nav discs ;)

Let us know if that disc actually works.

Do you know why it didn't work? Is it not the disc you thought was compatible?

When I was considering bidding on the item, I asked him, in the unlikely event it didn't work, will you give a refund.

He never bothered replying!

Well I called Lexus to get all the info I could, and it seemed to add up, so yes I thought it would work.

It said it was reading the disc and then it just went blank. Apparently it is supposed to tell you it is updating the software or something.

His lack of response doesn't seem too promising but I have my ways and means! I will do my best to extract a refund!

SO! I am still after an updater disc. Lexus said they generally tendf to be released around July/August and they are supposed to be getting back to me as to whether a 2006 one is due soon...

Makes you wonder what's up with the disc. It looked OEM.

I hope you do get your refund, I bet he was pleased it went for what it did. Looking through his history - i.e the other discs he's sold on behalf of his 'friends' he hasn't got anywhere near that sort of money for them.
