Is200/300 Parts

Recommended Posts

Hi chaps,

being V new to moddin the is200, I was wondering...

can the "exterior parts" of the is300 be matched (same size and fittings) as the is200.

As far as I understand the cars only differ in engine specs

If that is the case... has anyone had any thing to do with this site:

Your best bet is to list what parts you're looking for and ask the boys and girls here, if they know where you can source them cheaper.

For example, you can import stuff direct from Japan cheaper than you can buy it from the states. And there may also be a local (UK or European) supplier.

I've ordered some tail light covers from Japan costing me $113, but on the above site would cost £150.

So, just ask.

I have ordered from these guys but whilst I was in America (therefore saving on tax, duty and shipping costs). They are expensive as Mr. G says, but a good place to start as their selection is very good...... :shifty:

Cool,

the main reason I asked was to side step into finding a dealer that does the is200 rear view mirrors seeing

as they are the "special photochromatic glass"

I am assuming that all is300's have such glass in their rear view and side mirrors?

TIA

Teddy,

I do know of a UK supplier that does an Altezza type front bumper, but I'd bet it's not an original part, it's probably a copy. Nothing wrong with that, just pointing it out.

See this thread.

I am told however, that you can order Altezza parts from your Lexus dealer. They just need the all important part no.!!

Which is the hard part. However, if you give them your chasis No. and the Model No. found on the inside of your bonnet, they can use that to search for parts. The No's begin with JD or something like that.

If you PM me your information, I'll see what I can do.

Apparently there are about 16 types of rear view mirror... all different options with it

There was me thinking it was only a piece of reflective glass!

I am awaiting the UK dealer to come back to me with part No's and prices

========

What mark up are the prices normally like when you go through a main dealer compared with "bobbies bits"?
