you have to do the a/c the fargo mega method simply cause the clear acrylic part that i mount the leds to acts to spread the light from a normal 360degree shining filament bulb all to the parts needed. however usning 5mm leds you have a very narrow viewing angle (appros 13degrees) and thus the light does not get picked up via the clear acrylic jobby and spread around,, think of the those fibre optic things, whereby light is shone one end and it comes out the other even when bent.

you wont be able to use the same leds as the speedo cluster as the holes on the PCB are soooo small.

ay i gathered that. i've ordered the speedo ines from america as you suggested and 3mm 5000mcd for the a/c as well as a few smt leds for the window control (dont have the standard headunit or sat nav so don't need to do that bit)

Yeah i did it and it worked great. I did blow up one aircon unit but that was my own stupidity. All works fine now. Aircon, and Speedo.

We need pictures of the procedure, & the finished results

plus of course a list of components. Finally a solution ??????
