LINK to paint codes, so your car is "Royal Sapphire" from that.

What age is the car? could be that the original has faded in the sun a bit. Also is it fully dried and have you put clear laquer on, both of these may lighten the paint colour.

The colour is always the same if the code is the same. Doesn't matter what badge the vehicle has (Lexus or Toyota) or what country the vehicle is for the paint code remains the same.

The name of the colour does change however between Toyota and Lexus and in different countries so you should always use the code.

Did you apply the clear-coat? Sometimes the colour doesn't match until that is applied.

I would advise you to use paint from your dealership, I've always had a good match using genuine touch up paints.

you might find that because it is a pearlessant colour when you paint a large area it will be noticably different when painted and not sprayed. you may need to spray it and slowly build up the layers untill it is a close match.

There great to match in small quantaties but on a large scale it's near impossible without a proper garage blending it in. mine had a different colour bonnet and wing when I brought it, soon had that changed though, mine is royal saphire too.

maybe a garage will end up doing it .its the grill surround ,cant image putting a lot of layers on will make it darker though
