Hi guy's

i've only had my ls400 for three or four weeks and did'nt get a hand book with it so can anyone tell me how you dip the transmission oil.

i,e do you dip it warm or with engine cold, with engine running or stopped. i have ordered the book but want to check it a.s.a.p. so any help would be welcomed. thanks bob.

it does not matter if its hot or cold as its got 2 levels one for hold one for cold and you check it in park with the car running if you want to go to town you can check it in all gears but if its ok in park it should be ok in the rest

Read on here that you start the engine and take a short drive to warm up, move the selector through every position from park to low and back again, pausing for a few seconds in each. Then with the engine still running check the dip.
