HI Has anyone had a rattle more like a ticking sound from the drivers window glass..or it could be the upper seat belt mounting if so what has been the fix for it . I am really getting annoyed with the new rattles that seem to appear jsut as the last lot are sorted!!!

Alan,

Have experinced this on other cars but not my Lexi----try lowering the window half-way & then press the window down from the top edge so that it is secure in its carrier mechanism.

Hope this helps!

the only ticking sound i get is from the seat belt when you plug it in it makes a tick noise from where it meets the pillar section of the car

Yep been diagnosed its the lock stricker plate that needs to be adjusted .. the noise sounds just like its next to your ear!!Known rattle in IS

I have the same rattle on both driver and passenger front seat belt pillar mounting points. Rattles only appeared after seatbelt recall was effected. However, I did have the windows tinted at same time, so couldn't be sure of the cause. Lexus was sympathetic and ordered replacement mounting points. These were installed last week...but the rattles are still there :crybaby: I just turn the stereo up loader!

Nope. My 2005 delivered IS250 SE-L is still rattle free..and no I'm not deaf. Also still prefer driving along at 'sorry officer' motorway speeds without the ML system intruding on the silence
