Hid Fog Kit

Hi

I don't know if this is a stupid question or not but is it possible to get HID Fog lights for the Lexus IS200? And if so does anyone know where i can get them from?

Also does the kit come with the full fog lamp or do i need to have a set of current working stock fog lamps?

At the moment both my fog lights are goosed, think the bulbs overheated an melted or some ****tt duno, basically the mechanic looked at it and showed me an sed they are screwed and need new 1s.

But is it possible just go get HID fog lamps or do i have to buy stock fog lamps then and HID kit?

I hope im making sense.

I have tried searching on google but all i get is american sites an american lexus models or i get is300 models.

Can anyone please help??

If the fog light unit is fubar'd then you'll need to replace them first then purchase a HID kit.

Sam has done this on his IS, look good, but are useless in fog and illegal to use in the daylight. Police around here have started issuing tickets to anyone seen with them when there is no need for them.

Sorry mate, for using fogs when not required.

Which defeats the point of having HID fogs, as they are useless in fog.

thanx for the reply ice man. Well even if i did have fog lights working i wud never drive with them on. I do see some people driving with them on which is daft.

Altho it does look cool tho. But i havent heard of anyone getting a ticket for having them on here. over here u just get the warning or asked to put it off.

Anyhow, If the hid fogs are not going to do the job when it is foggy weather then i dont see the point in having them other than for the looks.

Glenn you do realise he was after this two years ago

Not sure why Lee says that HID foglights are no good though as a HID kit with a 3000k bulb will cut through fog better than any halogen bulb would, unless he's meaning colour temps of 4300k and above would be no good?
